The Gillette Laboratory received an adult O. bimaculoides today. The octopus, thinking it was a male, was named Jake. In its new home, Jake began to explore its surrounding and even attempted to change its chromatophores and skin texture to mimic the live rock. Jake appears to be healthy, accepting both live and frozen food, and swims about squirting ink when disturbed.
